Group visits to Lynn Museum

Visit Lynn Museum, an Arts Council England Accredited Museum, with your group for:

  • A general visit
  • An activity session inspired by the amazing history of the local area

Groups of more than 10 people must book directly with the museum before visiting.  

You can select one of our established packages or contact us about a bespoke visit to fit your needs.

About the museum

Lynn museum:

  • Is the home of Seahenge, a Bronze Age timber circle
  • Tells the story of West Norfolk 
  • Is inside a converted Union Baptist Chapel and school room 
  • Displays local history and archaeology collections 
  • Includes interactive exhibits and a regularly changing special exhibition 
  • Has a small museum shop with tourist and bespoke museum souvenirs 
  • Is located close to King's Lynn town centre, where there is an array of shops, cafés and restaurants  

Group visit packages 

Our standard packages are available for groups of up to 25 people.

General Visit to the museum

  • Between 1 October 2026-31 March 2027: Free
  • Between 1 April 2026-30 September 2026: £6 per head

Activity and General Visit to the museum

  • Activities available:
    • Seahenge Gallery Tour
    • General Museum Tour
    • Object Handling Session of a chosen time period
    • Coffee Service (includes hot drinks and cake)
  • Between 1 October 2026-31 March 2027: £90 per activity
  • Between 1 April 2026-30 September 2026: £6 per head, plus £90 per activity

Lynn Museum:

Accessibility 

In Lynn Museum:

  • The museum galleries, museum shop and toilets are on the ground floor, with ramp access where required 
  • Seating is set up around the galleries, with fold-up chairs available upon request 
  • Large print labels are available to pick up in the galleries 
  • Some areas of the museum have low lighting to protect the collections 
  • There are videos with sound and soundscapes within the galleries
